5 Piece Jazz Band Needed for Film
I was just reading some of the listing on the jazz jobs page of the website and I came across this – auditions for a 5 piece jazz band for an upcoming feature film. The director is the guy who directed American Beauty from a few years back, so it must be a half way decent gig.
Couple of things that I found kind of weird though…1) the listing doesn’t say anything about if you should actually play the instrument you are auditioning on, and 2) there is no mention of what the gig pays. (Considering its an audition for a “jazz” gig, you might be working for free beer and pizza.
)
The audition is on the east coast of the United States (Connecticut). You can’t be too young (under 18) and you can’t be too old (over 40) If you catch this before April 21st, give it a shot and let us know how it goes.
