I am constantly amazed at the things that are available on the internet today. Recently I stumbled across ustream.tv and spent some time there checking things out watching some live streaming video. Some were better than others, but I started thinking of alot of great ways that jazz musicians could help market themselves with live streaming video. Things like live performances from clubs they are working, or lessons streamed live, or even rehearsals or whatever.
I thought it would be cool to set up my own live jazz arranging streaming show, so I did. You can tune in to this page when you are really bored to watch me write jazz charts at my computer in real time. If you like watching paint dry or grass grow in real time, you’ll love my jazz arranging show. Another terrific benefit is that you can type comments and I can talk back to you. So if you don’t like a chord I used, or a note I wrote, you can tell me in real time.
Pretty cool, and all in good fun. The live show will be on this page, so tune in when you really, really bored don’t have anything else to do. Just say hi if you’d like.
If I’m not broadcasting, you’ll see nothing and the video will say “off air”. If you want to make comments in real time, you can type them in below the video and if I’ll try to talk back to you and answer any questions, etc. Hope you enjoy my lame attempt at a live video show!

Recorded Arranging Shows
Please bear with me on this first recording. I am working out exactly where to place the camera, and this recording was kind of a test anyway. Subsequent recordings will be much better visually hooked up with what you are hearing.
LIVE SHOW(if I am not broadcasting, it will be blank. Recorded shows are listed below the live show)
More Stella By Starlight
The next show I did on the evening of November 4th, the presidential election day in the United States. This is weird because just as I was wrapping up this video analysis of a chart I recently completed on Christmas Song, Barack Obama’s speech interrupted me (from another tab opened in my browser) and I was so surprised and flustered, I just ended it. So Barack ended this arranging show basically. But the content is good, I’m sure you will learn a few things.
